My client is a large pharmaceutical manufacturing company with a digital team aiming to better understand their patients and their needs. Working cross functionally they are inventing new ways of communicating, measuring, and interacting with our customers and patients through digital channels and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the further development of the newly established Analytics & Insights division with a focus on Market Research, Data Science, BI & Visualization and Data Provisioning
  • Further development of a company-wide data strategy in close cooperation with all relevant business partners as part of the Digital, Data & IT Leadership Core Team
  • Define strategic goals and guiding principles for analytics and insights for the acquisition, maintenance and use of data, e.g. (data protection)
  • Developing new, innovative data products, services, and offerings
  • Responsible for producing appropriate analytics (reports, dashboards, customized analytics) and providing insights and recommendations for action to the business units
  • Continuous benchmarking in data and analytics with companies within and outside the pharma industry
  • Developing new approaches, methodologies, and techniques for targeted knowledge building, including learning best practices from other markets
  • Very good understanding of relevant market and customer data as well as building and developing data partnerships to acquire third party data
  • Positioning Analytics & Insights in global decision making

Profile

  • Extensive experience in the field of data and analytics
  • Experience across different industries and business models with the ability to transfer methodologies and solutions (expertise in pharmaceutical industry appreciated)
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing innovative data products including generating customer insights from real-time data
  • Vision of how to best combine the disciplines of business intelligence, data science, data provisioning and market research (including user research) to achieve maximum business impact
  • Well-connected in the field of data and analytics
  • Vast leadership experience with interdisciplinary and heterogeneous teams; experience in leading agile teams and managing teams of more than 20 full-time equivalents; familiarity with modern working and leadership methods
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the hierarchy, negotiation skills, ability to think strategically while maintaining an overview of tactical execution
