The Team:

The Associate Director (Principal Data Scientist) will partner with our client's business units to build strong relationships and provide analytical subject matter to collaborate on opportunities while leveraging and optimizing both internal and external organizational data.

The Role:

The successful candidate will contribute to creating and maintaining clear, strategic vision and a plan for bringing actionable, innovative analytic solutions to market.


  • Partner with the business to identify and create opportunities to improve client, member or provider performance and overcome barriers to implementation
  • Collaborate with different lines of business to understand their analytic needs and client deliverables, act as consultant to propose & deliver business solutions and drive change
  • Anticipate customer needs, proactively develop & deliver solutions to meet them, and forecast/predict the impact of business strategies
  • Analytical solutions can span across the four different types of analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive)
  • Implement process improvement initiatives and automation for efficiency where appropriate
  • Research, interpret, and analyse diverse and complex data
  • Assist the Tech Team in the design and deployment of Analytical tools


  • Degree Qualified (BA, BS) in relevant field (analytics, mathematics, economics, business, statistics, engineering, or finance) or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis, pricing, contracting, network management, economics, or related discipline
  • Extensive experience in creating and using financial and /or predictive modelling tools, including experience in interpreting and reviewing modelling results to evaluate the impact of solution or maintenance changes and deployment/implementation of same
  • Extensive Data manipulation skills across structured and unstructured sources/repositories such as relational and non-relational databases, CSV’s, API’s, text, Excel, online PDF’s etc.
  • Proficient in research, interpreting, and analysing diverse and complex data
  • Extensive experience in at least one scripting language such as R, Python, SAS, Ruby or Perl
  • Demonstrated effective project ownership, management, drive & delivery
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in writing and orally to individuals and groups
  • The ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our client's Dublin office is required.
