Data Scientist – Cheminformatics

Our client are a bioresearch company who are heavily involved in the AgTech sector. Led by a well renowned team of Scientists, Biotech Investors and Leaders within Agriculture, they are focused on developing sustainable solutions for the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Support research & development across several different projects
• Use Computational Chemistry Analysis to provide support for Lead Optimization and Hit to Lead
• Examine library of encoded DNA data
• Prepare data for the Research team
• Help with compound selection
• Develop ML models from library of encoded DNA data
• Help support the Research Team by creating ML models that support compound selection decisions
• Develop automated pipelines at scale
• Prepare data for cleaning, training etc.
• Create dashboards and tools for the Research teams presentations

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, Computational Chemistry, Statistics, Data Science, etc.
• Proficient in Python, AWS, Docker, Git, and PostgreSQL
• Proficient in Data Visualization & Analysis tools – Numpy, Pandas, Scikit Learn, Seaborn, Matplotlib
• Industry experience in Cheminformatics/Computational Chemistry
• Strong background in Small Molecule Discovery
• Experience analyzing & understanding Biological Assay Data
• Experience developing Analysis Pipelines at scale
• Experience with Computational Chemistry/Cheminformatics Software Packages
• Full Project Development lifecycle experience from development & testing through deployment
• Ability to work Cross Functionally with Product Managers, Developers, Engineers, and Scientists
