Contract
As a ServiceNow Service Mapping Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Service Mapping solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and create customized Service Mapping solutions that align with their needs. You will also be responsible for integrating Service Mapping with other ServiceNow modules and third-party tools as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop customized Service Mapping solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices.
- Configure and maintain Service Mapping within the ServiceNow platform, including discovery patterns, sensors, and probes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and create customized Service Mapping solutions that align with those needs.
- Integrate Service Mapping with other ServiceNow modules and third-party tools as needed.
- Develop and maintain Service Mapping documentation, including discovery maps, dependency maps, and service maps.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Service Mapping issues.
- Stay up-to-date on Service Mapping best practices and industry trends.
- Assist with ServiceNow upgrades, including testing and implementing new features and functionality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow Service Mapping development and administration.
- Strong understanding of Service Mapping concepts, including discovery patterns, sensors, and probes.
- Experience designing and developing Service Mapping solutions that align with business requirements.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideRecord, etc.) and ServiceNow integration technologies (REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in Service Mapping certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and/or ServiceNow CMDB.
- Familiarity with network protocols and topologies.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their impact on Service Mapping.
