A global technology business in Dublin are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist with a strong focus on machine learning to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing advanced recommendation systems and engines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data science principles, possess exceptional analytical skills, and demonstrate expertise in Python programming. A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field is highly desired.

Responsibilities:
–    Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge recommendation systems and engines to enhance user experience and drive business growth.
–    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data engineers, to gather requirements and define the scope of recommendation projects.
–    Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can be used to improve recommendation algorithms.
–    Utilize machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics to optimize click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate (CR) for recommendation systems.
–    Implement and evaluate various recommendation algorithms, such as collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid models, to deliver personalized recommendations.
–    Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
–    Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of recommendation systems, fine-tuning algorithms and models as needed to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
–    Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in machine learning, recommendation systems, and related fields, and apply them to improve existing systems.

Requirements:
–    Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field is essential.
–    Strong expertise in developing and implementing recommendation systems and engines, with a focus on optimizing click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate (CR).
–    Proficiency in Python programming and relevant libraries/frameworks (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning model development.
–    Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modelling, and experimental design.
–    Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
–    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
–    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
