A leading and innovative technology company who are paving the way across AI are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recommender System Specialist to join one of their dynamic ML teams. As a Recommender System Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing their recommendation algorithms to improve click-through-rate (CTR), conversion rate, and overall user engagement. You will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing cutting-edge algorithms that drive personalized recommendations to enhance the user experience on their platform.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct in-depth research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in recommender systems, focusing on state-of-the-art algorithmic contributions.
– Develop, implement, and optimize recommendation algorithms that drive improvements in CTR, conversion rate, and user engagement.
– Analyze large-scale datasets to gain insights into user behavior and preferences, and leverage this information to enhance the accuracy and relevance of recommendations.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to integrate recommendation systems into our platform effectively.
– Conduct A/B testing experiments to evaluate and validate the performance of different recommendation strategies, and iterate on algorithms based on the results.
– Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to recommendation systems and provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
– Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in recommender systems, and contribute to the development of intellectual property through patents and publications.

Requirements:
– PhD qualification in Data Science, AI or a similar field.
– Strong background in recommender systems, with a focus on algorithm design and optimization.
– Multiple recent RecSys publications featuring in top tier journals and conferences. These publications are to focus on not only the application of a recommender systems but on state-of-the-art algorithmic contribution towards a recommender system. The attention to detail is key.
– Demonstrated expertise in developing state-of-the-art algorithms for recommendation engines, as evidenced by recent publications in top-tier industry conferences and journals.
– Proficiency in machine learning techniques and statistical analysis for large-scale datasets.
– Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
– Experience with A/B testing methodologies and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of recommendation strategies.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
