Alldus is seeking a ServiceNow Discovery Administrator with proven experience to join its growing team. Our ideal candidate is a natural leader and team player. The ServiceNow Discovery Administrator is a technical resource that is vital to the success of an ITOM ServiceNow. The administrator will need to work with the Configuration Management Team as well as the Server and Network teams for installation and maintenance of discovery.

  • Configures and Maintains Discovery Application
  • Works closely with Configuration Management team in the population of CMDB
  • Interfaces with Compute, Network, and Security teams to assure access and permissions
  • Resolving and troubleshooting discovery errors related to permissions and access
  • Create/ Monitor Discovery schedules – create schedules for optimal performance and run-time
  • Assuring completion of scheduled discovery jobs
  • Reviewing the environment for changes and new requirements that may drive changes to the Discovery solution
  • Ensure Discovery efficiency – investigate new patterns to discover configuration items
  • Assures downloads from the ServiceNow store occur monthly for CMDB Classes and Discovery patterns
  • Add new schedules, IP ranges, and credentials for new devices and environments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with ServiceNow and ITOM configuration management database (CMDB) in an enterprise production environment.
  • Comprehension of the ServiceNow CSDM model.
  • Knowledge of Window and Linux server administration, Active Directory, LDAP, Single Sign-On, authentication, user and group policy objects and permission levels.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure topology including application, server, and network configurations.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages including PowerShell, XML, JSON, JavaScript, etc.
  • Plan, design, deploy, and manage ServiceNow Service Discovery solutions for both On-Premises and Cloud resources; manages the Service Discovery infrastructure, including schedules, credentials, mid-servers and patterns.
  • Experience with modifying or extending OOTB Discovery Patterns and have the ability to create custom patterns as needed.
  • Experience developing, documenting, implementing and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery governance processes, procedures and policies and related documentation.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Mid-Server architecture, credentials and patterns, identifiers and business rules
  • Troubleshooting errors related to discovery, credentials, access, firewalls, etc. across stacks – Server, Storage, Database, and Network.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders to ensure an effective CMDB.
  • Ability to design and implement integrations using ServiceNow Integration Hub and custom integration using REST API etc. to enrich CMDB.
  • Create and/or update Discovery related documentation on the design, development, and deploy Discovery functionality to ensure that Discovery is performing as expected for optimal CMDB data population.


  • 5+ years overall experience as a ServiceNow ITOM Administrator Role
  • ServiceNow Fundamentals
  • ServiceNow Discovery Fundamentals
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Discovery
  • ServiceNow System Administration
  • Scripting in ServiceNow
  • ITIL v4 Foundations
  • Experience with ServiceNow Cloud Discovery AWS and or Azure Experienced
  • Experience creating and managing MID Server credentials for CyberArk
  • Ability to gain a Public Trust clearance.
