They are hiring a Director of Spacecraft Platform to play a crucial role in influencing the trajectory of space exploration. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of supervising the development, design, and execution of spacecraft platforms, ensuring their reliability, efficiency and safety.


  • As the Director of Spacecraft Platform, you will establish and lead a team of engineers, cultivating a culture of innovation and high-performance standards.

  • You will take charge of the mechanical design of satellite structures, applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles with a particular emphasis on additive manufacturing.

  • Conduct structural and thermal analyses to validate and optimize designs for diverse space environments.

  • Oversee the entire process of prototyping, testing and validating mechanical components and systems.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors and contractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.

  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation, encompassing engineering drawings and specifications.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field.

  • 7-10 years of experience specializing in satellite mechanical design and analysis, preferably within the aerospace industry.

  • Proficient in project management, budgeting and timeline management.

  • Experience with with ITAR/EAR, DoD contracts, and expertise in proposal writing.

  • Excellent skills in utilizing structural and thermal analysis tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, UX, Thermal Desktop, etc.

  • Possess knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes suitable for space applications.

  • Showcase excellent communication skills, effectively conveying technical information to various stakeholders.
