Our client who offer a range of IT Services to the government sector are hiring a Data Scientist to their team. The successful candidate be responsible for tackling complex problems using advanced technology and implementing best methodologies to address critical issues.

Responsibilities:

As the Data Scientist, you will work closely with subject matter experts and engineers to transform prototypes into scalable production software.
You will ensure the integration of best methodologies to address critical issues, working with advisors from prestigious institutions.
Provide insights on ongoing initiatives and pinpoint opportunities for innovative product development.
Utilize a range of data science techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, network analysis, text analytics, and data visualization.
Apply machine learning for classification tasks and leverage neural networks for unlabeled data.
Design and conduct experiments to assess data integrity and collection strategies.
Develop prototype tools to assist subject matter experts in extracting insights.
Engage in strategic discussions to influence the company’s data science trajectory.

Requirements:

PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in Data Science.
Proficient in the Python programming language.
Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and scikit-learn.
Strong understanding of statistics, including statistical tests and distributions.
Demonstrated ability to lead data science projects and creatively navigate technical challenges.
Capacity to deliver practical solutions aligned with business goals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of Generative AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), neural networks and databases is a bonus.
Must be eligible and willing to obtain security clearance.
