They are hiring a Director of Robotics to lead and innovate within their robotics team, contributing to cutting-edge space technology projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in complex and boundary-pushing endeavors.

Responsibilities

  • As a Director of Robotics, you will be responsible to provide strategic guidance and supervise comprehensive development roadmap

  • You will collaborate with the executive team to align development objectives with the company’s vision.

  • Craft a strategic roadmap for implementing robotics technology in deep space missions.

  • Guide and mentor a team through design, development, and testing phases.

  • Supervise development projects, including budget, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Forge and sustain connections with clients, collaborators, and governmental bodies.

Skillset

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, plus 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Hands-on leadership experience in managing design teams to address technical issues in robotics.

  • Experience in rapid prototyping and working with scale models.

  • Substantial expertise in implementing robotic systems for space or terrestrial applications.

  • Competence in design and analysis using SolidWorks and numerical analysis toolkits like MATLAB Simulink.

  • Knowledge of bolted joint analysis, finite element analysis, GD&T, traditional and additive manufacturing, material selection, structures, and mechanisms.

  • Familiarity with ROS, C++, Python in Linux OS, robotic operating systems, machine vision, simulation, and autonomy software.

  • Previous experience in Robotics, Advanced State Estimation, Visual Odometry, SLAM, Motion Analysis, and 3D Environmental Reconstruction.
