Our client, an exciting aerospace company spearheading next-generation technology for space exploration, is hiring a Director of Robotics to lead their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of state-of-the-art robotics technologies crucial to advancing their mission and reshaping the landscape of space exploration.

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Robotics, you will take charge of the complete robotics systems development lifecycle, spanning from conceptualization to integration and testing.
You will align robotics development with the company’s mission and objectives by providing strategic direction.
Foster innovation in robotic design, systems integration and mission capabilities.
Mentor and guide a team of engineers and scientists in the advancement of cutting-edge robotic systems.
Supervise project execution, encompassing budgeting, scheduling and risk management.
Build and sustain robust relationships with stakeholders, partners and government agencies.

Skillset:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in robotics development, ideally within the aerospace or space exploration industry.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities in tackling intricate technical challenges and delivering successful projects.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and numerical analysis tools like MATLAB Simulink.
Strong command of ROS, C++ and Python within the Linux operating system.
Expertise in computer vision, reinforcement learning and the control systems of robots.
Proven track record of developing highly intricate and mission-critical systems for either spaceflight or terrestrial applications.
