Our client, an IT Services and Consulting firm serving the Federal Sector, are hiring a Data Scientist to utilize global supply chain and operational data to develop predictive models. The successful candidate will engage in both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, delve into diverse data sources, and create comprehensive analytical models from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

As the Data Scientist, you will collaborate with stakeholders to grasp requirements and convert them into data science solutions.
Provide guidance on best practices and industry standards in data science, analytics, and data visualization to improve the team’s technical skills.
Design, develop, and integrate templates, data, and models to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Develop and put into practice protocols for ensuring data quality and managing data effectively.
Create, maintain, and organize technical documentation for all stages of data collection, cleaning, and analysis.

Skillset:

U.S. Citizenship required.
Master’s or Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics, statistics, or relevant field.
Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Knowledge of diverse data models and practical experience in supervised and unsupervised learning.
Over 3 years of expertise in evaluating data relationships utilizing statistical modeling and analytics tools.
Over 3 years of experience in advanced Classification and Regression modelling.
Proficiency in data wrangling and model building using R or Python.
Familiarity with SQL or Spark SQL and fundamental database design principles.
Experience with cloud projects on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and/or Azure.
Exceptional skills in statistical analysis, data visualization, data wrangling, and documentation.
