Our client is an exciting InsurTech startup that are dedicated to enabling clients to accelerate deal closures and drive sales growth. They are hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in New York, contributing significantly to the advancement of their innovative technology and influencing the evolution of the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

As the Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for leading internal LLM implementations, while working closely with a 10-person engineering and product team
Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize various aspects of the insurance platform.
Conduct thorough analysis of data sources to extract meaningful insights and enhance predictive modeling capabilities.
Continuously evaluating and improving model performance through experimentation, fine-tuning and optimization techniques.
Ensure the scalability, reliability and efficiency of machine learning systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

Skillset:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar.
At least one year of Python back-end programming experience.
Proficiency with Python 3.8 + Django Backend, Ubuntu on AWS, PostgreSQL databases (pgvector extension), OpenAI APIs, and Frontend React/NextJs on Vercel.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and methodologies.
Enthusiasm for excelling in a fast-paced, high-growth startup atmosphere.
