Our client is an exciting Healthcare startup revolutionizing life-saving treatments through the application of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. They are hiring a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join their team in Virginia. If you possess expertise in image processing, machine learning, video coding & compression, and system integration, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will innovate and create advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms customized for analyzing surgical videos.
You will employ large datasets to construct and deploy data pipelines, evaluating diverse computer vision methods.
Implement image processing methods, covering feature extraction, segmentation and tracking.
Work collaboratively with researchers and clinical partners to translate needs into technical solutions.
Generate detailed technical documentation, including designs, user guides, workflows and training materials.
Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning technologies to improve their products and services.

Skillset:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related.
Hands-on experience in computer vision, machine learning and deep learning.
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB; expertise with OpenCV is a must.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks/libraries such as Pytorch, TensorFlow and/or Keras.
Knowledgeable about MLOps tools like ClearML and wandb.
Strong mathematical prowess and proficiency in algorithmic design, including experience with CNN, RNN, LSTM, ViT, and other deep learning neural network architectures.
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Sagemaker and Lambda.
Demonstrated success in constructing and validating image and video processing pipelines, and integrating them with large-scale data repositories.
Sound understanding of software development methodologies, including source control, bug tracking, and build management.
