Our client is an established IT solutions that serve Federal Government and large commercial organizations. They are hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to join the team on a contract basi who will be responsible for contributing to their internal digital transformation and driving the adoption of a Hybrid Hosting Strategy.

Responsibilities:

As the Coud Security Engineer, you will establish and enhance a cloud security governance framework to ensure the secure use of cloud services.
You will define and maintain cloud security processes within the cloud operating model, supporting cloud governance and risk management.
Perform security assessments, protection requirements and risk analyses of cloud platforms.
Develop individual security improvement concepts and create decision templates for risk treatment, focusing on risk reduction measures.
Engage with new cloud technologies and participate in their secure implementation.
Contribute to the development of DevSecOps concepts and collaborate closely with other IT teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or similar.
Minimum of five years of professional hands-on IT experience in Cloud Security.
Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing security requirements for cloud platforms.
Practical experience with cloud security tools and technologies such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center or Google Cloud Security Command Center.
Skilled in conducting security assessments, risk analyses and developing security concepts.
Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Expertise in implementing and managing cloud security controls, including identity and access management, encryption, network security and data protection.
Strong knowledge of common security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors in cloud environments.
