A forward-thinking healthcare firm are hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in North Carolina. The successful candidate will accelerate the advancement of their data science and AI capabilities, emphasizing multimodal models, large language models and augmented reality applications.


  • As the Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you will lead the creation and rollout of Computer Vision models.

  • You will investigate the development and rollout of multimodal models that integrate text, images, and other data types.

  • Implement and oversee MLOps practices to streamline model deployment and monitoring.

  • Guide and support junior data scientists and engineers.

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate AI solutions into products and services.

  • Conduct research to push the boundaries in multimodal models, large language models (LLMs), and augmented reality (AR).

  • Enhance model performance and scalability.

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy and security regulations.


  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science or similar.

  • Minimum of five years of expertise in machine learning, focusing on multimodal models and Computer Vision.

  • Robust proficiency in deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with MLOps tools and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills.

  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications.

  • Exposure to augmented reality (AR) technologies.

  • Preference for experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

Salary: $170k – $200k
