Our client, a Fortune 500 leader in the energy sector, is hiring an AI Computer Vision Specialist to join their team in Virginia. The successful candidate will contribute their expertise in Computer Vision and AI to an innovative solar project, advancing the company’s mission and making a significant impact in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

As the AI Computer Vision Specialist, you will develop high-performing perception algorithms for object detection, segmentation and pose estimation using sensor data.
You will design, train and deploy robust machine learning models to improve perception accuracy in challenging environments.
Collaborate with robotics, hardware and software engineers, as well as external industry partners, to integrate and optimize perception systems.
Enhance the machine learning pipeline to support continuous development and deployment.
Integrate perception systems with robotic platforms for autonomous manipulation and interaction.
Guide the technical direction for perception systems, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.

Requirements

Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or similar.
Over 6 years of experience in computer vision, machine learning and/or robotics.
Solid understanding of computer vision, image processing and machine learning algorithms.
Proficient in Python, C++ and ROS2.
Experienced with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Knowledgeable about real-time systems and embedded platforms.
Familiar with robotics platforms and sensor systems.
