Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Location: Dublin (Onsite 3 days per week)
Duration: 3 months rolling
Day Rate: €450-550 p/d
Alldus have an exciting opportunity open for a Network Security Engineer to join a leading management consulting firm on a contract basis. The Network Security Engineer will gain access to enterprise-wide cyber security programmes and play a pivotal role in both design and hands-on implementations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working across multiple organisations and sectors, bringing a breadth of knowledge and expertise to this key position.
Responsibilities:
- Network Security Design: Lead the design and architecture of robust network security solutions tailored to the organisation’s needs. Ensure designs align with industry best practices and security standards.
- Implementation: Take a hands-on role in the deployment and configuration of network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and secure access solutions.
- Security Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to strengthen the network’s security posture.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex network security issues, ensuring rapid resolution to minimise impact on business operations.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network security designs, configurations, and procedures to support ongoing management and future enhancements.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Network Security Engineer, with a proven track record in both design and implementation across diverse environments.
- Strong technical expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure access solutions, and network architecture.
- Experience working in multiple organisations and sectors, demonstrating adaptability and a broad perspective on security challenges and solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex security issues efficiently.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable.
