Our client are a disruptive drug discovery Biotechnology startup and they are hiring a Lead Research Engineer with skills in Machine Learning to join their team for a hybrid position in South San Francisco.

Responsibilities

As the Research Engineer, you will apply modern machine learning techniques to fine tune and deploy AI/ML models on distributed computational loads
Take ownership of production platforms, tools and environment to scale automation of active learning
Responsible for the testing and release of the AI teams model registry

Skillset

Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar
Expert in pytorch model performance tuning
LLM experience is preferred
Experience of software development for Machine Learning using modern cloud frameworks
Large scale, multi-node cloud-based HPC using distributed computational loads
Automated build processes with CI/CD in cloud, cluster & workload management
Experienced in a production environment
Experience in Biotech would be an advantage
