Our client, an AI-driven startup in the media industry, are hiring a Founding Engineer to join the team in New York. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing the platform's technical infrastructure, shaping the technical culture and implementing engineering best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

As the Founding Engineer, you will design, build and oversee the technical infrastructure of the company’s platform.
You will collaborate with the founding team to develop scalable and innovative solutions.
Set and uphold engineering standards and best practices.
Manage daily engineering tasks, resolve issues and contribute to the technical strategy.
Mentor team members and promote a collaborative development culture.

Skillset

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
Minimum of eight years of experience as a software engineer in managing large-scale production systems.
Proven expertise in designing architecture for enterprise-level systems.
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design principles.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and Java.
Experience in database management and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with machine learning concepts and tools.
Previous experience working in a startup is a plus.
