Our client, a leading company in the automotive industry, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with skills in Computer Vision to join their team in Michigan. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and refining Computer Vision algorithms and contribute to the delivery of advanced technology for autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Engineer, you will evaluate and design innovative components and modules from concept into production.
Ensure adherence to scientific and engineering principles, company standards and customer specifications.
Manage project timelines for innovation, coordinate activities and ensure the timely completion of tasks, including software development, prototyping and testing.
Collaborate with project engineers to troubleshoot issues, develop designs and provide engineering support across various departments.
Analyze experimental data, compare it with simulation results and recommend product enhancements.

Skillset

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with SLAM, 3D reconstruction, optical flow and depth estimation from motion.
Skilled in programming languages like Python and C/C++, along with practical experience using ROS/ROS2 and edge devices.
Experience with Vision, Lidar, or Radar sensors, camera calibration, and the training and deployment of deep learning models.
Familiarity with autonomous driving algorithms and deep learning techniques, including semantic segmentation and monocular depth estimation.
Previous experience in research or development related to Autonomous Driving or Robotics is an advantage but not essential.
