Our client, an innovative AI-driven startup, is hiring a Backend Engineering Lead to join their team in California. The successful candidate will head the development of the company’s API and backend infrastructure, which is essential for enabling access to the model router API and its associated microservices.

Responsibilities

As the Backend Engineering Lead, you will design and build the development and production environments for their model router and enterprise products.
Develop robust tools and systems while nurturing a strong engineering culture within their backend and ML Engineering teams.
Lead and implement key features for the company’s core routing product.
Engage in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents and maintain system reliability.

Skillset

At least eight years of engineering experience, with a strong focus on infrastructure.
Strong skills in designing and managing scalable, reliable and secure systems.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Python, FastAPI, MongoDB and Microservices Architectures.
