Our client are an AI-driven company disrupting financial services sector and they are hiring a hands-on VP of Machine Learning to join the team in Colorado. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the organization’s AI capabilities, ensuring the delivery of powerful, personalized tools to their customers.

Responsibilities

As the VP of Machine Learning, you will be responsible to design and enhance both open-source and proprietary LLMs for tasks such as question answering, summarization, reasoning and planning.
Develop advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, incorporating elements like rewriting, embedding fine-tuning, hybrid search, reranking and knowledge graphs.
Create and implement robust evaluation frameworks and performance metrics for model assessment.
Deploy models into production environments, ensuring they are low-latency, highly reliable, and scalable.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build and optimize comprehensive end-to-end product systems.

Skillset

PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
Extensive experience in NLP/LLM with current knowledge of state-of-the-art research.
Hands-on expertise in LLM fine-tuning, inference frameworks, and advanced RAG pipelines.
Strong proficiency in LLM evaluation methods and metrics.
5-6 years of experience in machine learning/deep learning using frameworks like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
Over two years of practical experience in developing generative AI applications.
Demonstrated history of publications in reputable machine learning conferences or journals.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
