Our client are a leading innovator in the Healthcare industry and they are hiring a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to join the team in North Carolina. The successful candidate will address intricate biological and technical issues, create and deploy data pipelines and classification algorithms, and derive actionable insights from a range of data sources.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible to lead data analysis initiatives for cutting-edge healthcare products.
You will develop and deploy data pipelines and classification algorithms to synthesize and interpret a variety of data sources.
Engage in multi-omic, imaging and flow cytometry-based assays.
Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to drive product development and foster biopharma collaborations.
Deliver high-quality solutions efficiently within a fast-paced startup setting.

Skillset

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Bioengineering or equivalent.
Minimum of three years of experience within drug discovery or development.
Deep knowledge of biostatistical methods and molecular biology, with a focus on cancer genomics.
Skilled in scripting languages like Python, R, and Linux shell environments
Experience with custom algorithms, version control, and software design practices is a plus.
Proficient in handling NGS data and utilizing bioinformatics tools, along with machine learning techniques.
Experience working with experimental scientists on Design of Experiments (DOE) and familiarity with best practices.
