Founding Engineer – NYC

Our client are fast-growing startup that are revolutionizing the legal sector through artificial intelligence. They are hiring a Founding Engineer to join their team in New York, who will work directly with customers, and take full ownership of building and delivering products that tackle their unique challenges.

Responsibilities

• As the Founding Engineer, you’ll be responsible to take ownership of building and deploying products that solve real customer challenges.
• You will engage directly with customers to gather insights and prioritize features.
• Ship code multiple times a day to quickly meet customer needs in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Collaborate in-person with the team to help shape the company’s vision and culture.
• Onboard new customers and collect feedback to inform future product iterations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve capacity issues impacting user experience.

Skillset

• Passionate to take on a leadership role, contributing to product development and company culture.
• Ability to excel in customer-centric environments and enjoy rapidly deploying code
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced early-stage startup.
• Backend Skills with AWS and Go microservices.
• Frontend expertise in React/Typescript, supporting web, desktop and mobile platforms.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
