System Administrator (Contract)

Job: System Administrator
Duration: 3 months (rolling)
Day Rate: €350 p/d
Location: 3 days per week onsite in Dublin City

A leading consulting partner in Ireland is looking to hire a skilled System Administrator to support on a large remediation programme with an end user. This project is set to last beyond the initial 3-month contract period so there is high likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage the Microsoft 365 environment, including user accounts, email, collaboration, endpoint management, security and compliance tools.
• Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption, to protect the data and systems from cyber threats.
• Plan and execute upgrades to the ICT systems, including hardware and software updates, to ensure they meet current and future needs.
• Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of the ICT infrastructure, including network diagrams, system configurations, and user manuals.

Skillset:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as information technology (or equivalent) bachelor’s degree.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally
• Proven knowledge of network infrastructure, hypervisor & server management, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience in implementing and managing security measures to protect ICT systems and data.
• Excellent problem solving skills, with a natural ability to think creatively and laterally.
• Experience working within a complex technology environment.
• Ability to plan, execute, and manage ICT projects, including system upgrades and new implementations.
