Our client, an AI-driven company dedicated to making a positive impact in the healthcare industry, is hiring a Software QA/Test Engineer to join their team in California. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative healthcare software solutions designed to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

  • As the Software QA/Test Engineer , you will design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases, test plans, and test scripts for various robotic functionalities.

  • Identify, analyze, and document software defects, inconsistencies, and proposed enhancements.

  • Execute various types of tests, including regression tests, functional tests, and stress tests.

  • Ensure compliance of all software testing activities with medical device standards and regulations.

  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and evidence for regulatory submissions and audits.

  • Collaborate with the software lead to develop and enhance software QA processes, methodologies, and tools.

  • Champion the integration of new testing tools and methodologies into existing practices.

  • Document detailed procedures for reproducing reported software anomalies and defects.

  • Maintain a QA log and issue tracker to monitor reported defects and their resolution status.

  • Generate QA metrics and reports to assess software quality and identify areas for improvement.

Skillset

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.

  • Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance, ideally within the healthtech sector. 

  • Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, Python and Bash.

  • Significant experience with Linux OS is essential.

  • Knowledge of robotics platforms like ROS, ROS 2 or similar technologies.

  • Skilled in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases and test reports.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, JIRA, Confluence, and platforms like GitHub.

  • Understanding of medical device regulations and standards.

  • Experience with software QA tools (e.g., Greenlight Guru), methodologies and processes.

Salary: $130k – $170k DOE
