ServiceNow - Business Analyst / Process Consultant

Our client, global IT Solution provider, are hiring a ServiceNow ITAM Business Process Consultant to join their team on a contract basis in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing a global SAM program, handling large-scale SaaS/Cloud applications and integrating systems for customers around the world.

Responsibilities

As the ServiceNow Business Process Consultant, you will oversee and optimize end-to-end SAM operations, including conducting software data quality checks, processing data and generating reports.
You will be tasked to establish and uphold best practices for license consumption reporting using SAM tools.
Streamline the automation of data collection and normalization from discovery tools, ensuring smooth integration across systems.
Develop, document and manage software request processes, license compliance workflows, and define roles and responsibilities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in software asset and license compliance, and drive the implementation of these enhancements.
Create and maintain documentation and communication templates for addressing software non-compliance, ensuring effective resolution and bringing software titles into compliance.
Collaborate with multiple systems to gather data, including contracts, purchase records and license agreements, to accurately track and manage license consumption.

Skillset

Minimum of ten years of experience in Hardware and Software Asset Management lifecycle and Software License Compliance Management.
Proven experience working with SAM Pro.
Deep understanding of various publisher licensing models (e.g., Processor-based, Core-based, Floating Users).
Strong ability to document processes and procedures, clearly articulating potential outcomes within the SAM process.
Expertise in complex publisher licensing (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, VMware or Symantec).
Knowledge of data attributes essential for calculating license consumption.
Strong skills in writing SQL queries and understanding data schemas.
Experience in large-scale or global companies with over 10,000 hardware assets or 1,000+ software titles.
ITIL trained/certified.
Certification in any SAM program (CSAM) is highly desirable.
