  ServiceNow - Business Analyst / Process Consultant

Our client, a IT Consulting firm focused in the federal sector, are hiring a ServiceNow Business Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver innovative technical solutions, provide mentorship to developers, and ensure the effective implementation of security and risk management solutions.

Responsibilities

  • As the ServiceNow Business Analyst, you will act as the main technical point of contact for ServiceNow cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Lead and manage development goals, ensuring they meet client expectations and adhere to best practices.

  • Serve as the technical liaison between the development team and clients.

  • Design and define technical solutions that address client business needs while following ServiceNow implementation best practices.

  • Co-facilitate requirements gathering workshops with the Security Practice team and assist in capturing necessary business, functional, and technical requirements.

  • Work with business teams to provide technical expertise for stories and user requirements.

  • Supervise developers’ work, ensuring high-quality results, and offer guidance on design standards and best practices.

  • Lead sprint demos, provide development deliverables, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

  • Partner with the Engagement Manager to monitor and address scope creep and resolve technical challenges.

  • Stay current with ServiceNow products, particularly those related to IRM/GRC and SecOps.

Skillset

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise environments, with at least 3 years working with the ServiceNow platform.

  • Proven experience in software development, IT business administration, cybersecurity or a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity platforms such as Tenable, Rapid7, Splunk, Crowdstrike, and Archer.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles including vulnerability management, risk management, NIST, COBIT, attack vectors, and threat intelligence.

  • Proven experience in consulting and leading the development and implementation of Security & Risk/GRC solutions.

  • Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies, including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, and FTPS.

  • Expertise in JavaScript scripting within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and strategize around complex business processes and technical concepts.

  • ServiceNow CIS certification in Risk & Compliance, VR, or SIR (current or obtainable within 6 months of hire).
