Our client, an innovator in the digital media industry, are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join their Product and Engineering team based in New York. The successful candidate will contribute to a robust data environment by supporting and developing advanced data pipelines and infrastructure while leveraging AWS technologies to design future-forward solutions

Responsibilities

As the Data Engineer, you will architect and implement advanced data networks and pipelines across diverse internal and external sources.
Maintain high availability for a seamlessly integrated SaaS analytics dashboard and associated platforms.
Evaluate and interpret digital media metrics, ensuring accurate and meaningful data representation.
Partner with team members to design, develop, deploy and sustain robust data pipelines.
Enhance the performance of data stores, enabling fast and efficient querying to support technological and reporting needs.
Continuously refine and upgrade existing data pipelines and system integrations.

Skillset

At least seven years of experience in data engineering.
Strong proficiency in Python, Redshift, Postgres, SQL, Spark and Airflow.
Hands-on experience with the Pandas library and Docker.
Deep expertise in AWS technologies, including ECS, S3, Kinesis, Redshift and EMR.
A proven track record of delivering high-quality work with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Skills in Scala or machine learning is a plus.
Previous experience AdTech or digital media industry is an advantage.
