Job Title: ATO Support Engineer
Location: DMV Area (Primarily Remote with Occasional On-Site Requirements)
Clearance Requirement: Active MBI/IRS Clearance

Our client, a growing IT Services organization, is hiring a skilled ATO (Authorization to Operate) Support Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract in the DMV area. This role will be predominantly based remotely however it will require occasional trips to the client site. Candidate’s for this role must have an active MBI/IRS Clearance. 

Responsibilities

• As the ATO Support Engineer, you will be responsible to oversee the IRS ATO process, focusing on the preparation and maintenance of ATO documentation.

• Evaluate legacy Business Master File (BMF) documentation to identify components suitable for reuse in modernization initiatives.

• Create and manage ATO documentation for Release 2, ensuring accuracy, review and approval in coordination with security partners.

• Maintain regular updates to the Internal Management System (IMS) to reflect ongoing progress in the ATO process.

• Work closely with ISSOs, clients, and vendor/teaming partners to draft, submit and monitor the status of Security Change Management Requests.

Skillset

• Active MBI/IRS Clearance is a must.

• Experience navigating the IRS ATO process.

• Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and coordinate across teams.

• Proficiency in working with security partners and tracking systems like IMS.
