Our client, an AI-focused organization disrupting the construction industry, is hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join the team in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will lead the research, development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions, while also playing a key role in shaping and building a high-performing AI & ML team.

Responsibilities

As the Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you will drive R&D initiatives to solve challenging AI problems, with an emphasis on computer vision and deep learning.
Architect, develop and continuously optimize end-to-end training and evaluation workflows.
Explore and test novel techniques to enable the next generation of capabilities.
Tackle production model challenges with quick, incremental solutions while ensuring long-term scalability.
Work closely with leadership to define product strategies and achieve key objectives.
Mentor junior machine learning engineers and work alongside software engineers to deliver impactful solutions.

Skillset

Masters or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or similar.
Deep expertise in computer vision, deep learning and Python (including PyTorch).
Proven track record of designing, deploying and maintaining high-performance machine learning solutions in production environments.
Solid understanding of machine learning deployment architectures and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Successful experience leading and mentoring teams within fast-paced, early-stage startup environments.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
A strong passion for AI innovation, paired with a creative approach to solving problems and advancing technology.
