Our client, an early-stage AI Startup, are hiring a Founding Frontend Engineer to join the team in California. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing high-performance user interfaces for their Enterprise SaaS platform, with a focus on improving our AI-driven tools and admin interfaces for managing tenants and complex governance policies.

Responsibilities

As the Founding Frontend Engineer, you will develop and implement scalable, maintainable front-end applications that tackle enterprise-level challenges while delivering an exceptional user experience.
Leverage observability tools to proactively monitor, alert and optimize user experience, ensuring smooth feature adoption.
Encourage junior developers to take ownership of design decisions and promote an inclusive, collaborative team environment.
Regularly evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to improve system architecture and development processes.

Skillset

Proven experience in developing high-performance web applications within a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
Expertise in React/NextJS, TypeScript and related tools.
Strong knowledge of asynchronous communication technologies such as REST, GraphQL, WebSockets and Server-Sent Events.
Familiar with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress or Playwright.
Experience with UI frameworks and design systems.
Background in full-stack development, with a track record of taking projects from concept to completion.
Capable of leading projects independently, with excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to embrace constructive feedback.
Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
