Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the skillsets of the people on your team by helping them set goals, manage their work load, and meet their deadlines 
  • Define the product development roadmap and deliverables for your team 
  • Help create objectives and important results for your team 
  • Develop and push the end to end machine learning models into production
  • Organize your team to ensure success across company objectives
  • Cross collaborate with Engineers and Scientist to help support the companies products and features
  • Follow industry practices to continuously optimize, maintain and improve the practices of the team
  • Work closely with the DevOps and IT functions
  • Enable effective working relations across Operations, Data Engineering, Development and Product Management teams
  • Partner with the Commercial team to display the companies capabilities to current and future clients and 3rd parties
  • Grow the team by recruiting additional talent from diverse backgrounds
  • Be a mentor for each member on your team



Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience leading data science projects
  • 5+ years of Data Science experience within Healthcare
  • Experience working in a Pharma, Biotech, and/or Medical Device environment
  • Coding proficiency in Python, R, SQL
  • Experience with statistical models and ML techniques
  • Proven ability working with an ML toolkit
  • Experience in managing data engineering ELT pipelines, including data mapping, warehousing, and architecture
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized, with effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to learn quickly and autonomously
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Superior problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
  • Sincere interest in working at a rapidly changing start-up and scaling with the company as we grow


Preferred (Nice-to-have) Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MSc, PhD, etc.) with strong academic performance in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or equivalent field
  • Experience in the life sciences industry
  • Experience with healthcare data, ideally clinical/operational clinical trial data
  • Knowledge of clinical data standards (e.g. CDISC, FHIR, HL7, etc.)
  • Knowledge of e-clinical systems and technologies (e.g. EDC, CTMS, IRT, etc.)
