My exclusive client are a global AI-based company whose innovative products serve millions of people worldwide in the Education sector.

They launched a brand new R&D hub in Dublin City Centre in 2020 and are looking for a hands-on Junior Software Engineer to develop and maintain new and existing systems to meet the needs of a growing customer base.

Your Role:

• As a Software Engineer, you will join a small team of four people in building, developing and implementing software for new and existing AI-based products.
• You will be responsible to build and maintain the smooth operation of new and existing systems in real-time within a microservices architecture.
• You will be a hands-on developer coding with Python and building out RESTful web services to develop these microservices and scale cloud-based products.
• Gather requirements and transform them into actionable tasks.
• Develop new features and create scalable and high-performing code.
• Working in an Agile environment to create a great working culture of reliability and high-quality systems.

Your Skillset:

• 2-3 years of industry experience building scalable enterprise systems.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Comfortable developing software products in Python. Ruby experience is a bonus but not essential.
• Experience developing RESTful web services.
• Skills working within AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working within a Test Driven Development (TDD) environment is highly desirable.
• Ambitious to learn new technologies and active in personal projects outside of work.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
