Senior Clinical Research Scientist

Our client, an AI focused company revolutionizing healthcare, is hiring a Senior Clinical Research Scientist to join the team in California. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building and deploying advanced applications that integrate seamlessly with complex healthcare systems, driving improvements in care delivery and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end design, development and deployment of scalable LLM-powered applications for healthcare.

• Customise and fine-tune leading LLMs (e.g. LLaMA 2, Mistral and other open-source models) to address healthcare-specific challenges.

• Utilise advanced frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex to build innovative, high-impact solutions.

• Tackle complex healthcare problems with inventive, AI-first strategies.

• Translate advanced model capabilities into practical solutions that deliver measurable value for patients and clinicians.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clearly communicate technical insights to a variety of stakeholders.

• Stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging technologies and continuously integrating new methods and tools.

Skillset

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or similar.

• Demonstrated expertise applying large language models (LLMs) within healthcare settings.

• Practical experience working with LLaMA 2, Mistral, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or comparable tools and frameworks.

• Proven track record in developing AI-driven applications for healthcare.

• Hands-on experience with varied and complex healthcare datasets

• Engagement with the broader AI/LLM community through research contributions, publications, or conference presentations is a plus.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.

Benefits

• Salary: $110,000 – $180,000
