Our client, an AI-driven organisation, is hiring a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead their growing Irish operations. The successful candidate will own the full engineering lifecycle and work closely with product and research leaders to transform ambitious AI visions into scalable, resilient platforms that deliver exceptional customer value.

Responsibilities

Shape and advance the engineering strategy, ensuring it aligns with company objectives and supports AI-driven product innovation.
Lead architecture, delivery, security, quality and overall operational excellence across all engineering teams.
Mentor and empower engineering leaders, promoting a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture.
Enhance processes and champion best practices in DevOps, ML Ops and secure, scalable development.
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining a strong emphasis on scalability, performance and long-term sustainability.
Partner closely with product and research teams to bring sophisticated AI capabilities from concept to market.
Cultivate a culture grounded in trust, accountability, continuous improvement and responsible innovation.

A proven track record of leading engineering organisations through startup-to-scale growth.
Deep technical knowledge spanning modern software engineering, AI/ML architecture, cloud environments and platform development.
Strong, inspirational leadership with the ability to mentor and empower diverse, globally distributed teams.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable, secure and highly reliable systems.
Hands-on expertise in DevOps, ML Ops and continuous delivery methodologies.
