Software Development Manager
Our client, a growing Health tech organization, is hiring a Software Development Manager to join their team remotely. The successful candidate will lead a high-caliber engineering group, play a key role in evolving a mission-critical component of healthcare infrastructure and help deliver the technology underpinning modern healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing engineering team, setting ambitious goals and maintaining a strong focus on quality.
- Oversee daily engineering workflows to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet high standards.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Customer Operations to align engineering outputs with customer needs and address critical issues.
- Establish clear expectations and drive accountability through regular performance evaluations and progress monitoring.
- Enhance team processes by facilitating design reviews, post-mortems and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain operational readiness, including coordinating incident responses, ensuring compliance, managing runbooks and upholding security practices.
- Mentor and guide engineers while working cross-functionally to uphold technical excellence.
Skillset
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- At least 2 years of practical, hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Outstanding written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated success leading and managing remote-first engineering teams.
- Strong commitment to building, mentoring and sustaining high-performing teams.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
