Software Development Manager
Our client, a growing Health tech organization, is hiring a Software Development Manager to join their team remotely. The successful candidate will lead a high-caliber engineering group, play a key role in evolving a mission-critical component of healthcare infrastructure and help deliver the technology underpinning modern healthcare systems.
Responsibilities

Lead a high-performing engineering team, setting ambitious goals and maintaining a strong focus on quality.

Oversee daily engineering workflows to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet high standards.

Collaborate closely with Product and Customer Operations to align engineering outputs with customer needs and address critical issues.

Establish clear expectations and drive accountability through regular performance evaluations and progress monitoring.

Enhance team processes by facilitating design reviews, post-mortems and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Maintain operational readiness, including coordinating incident responses, ensuring compliance, managing runbooks and upholding security practices.

Mentor and guide engineers while working cross-functionally to uphold technical excellence.
Skillset
-
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

At least 2 years of practical, hands-on experience with AWS services.

Outstanding written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

Demonstrated success leading and managing remote-first engineering teams.

Strong commitment to building, mentoring and sustaining high-performing teams.

Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
