Our client, a growing tech consultancy, are hiring an experienced ServiceNow Architect to join the team in Virginia. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across a large, multi-module ServiceNow environment supporting a federal customer. Including to own the platform architecture and technical strategy, and lead major upgrades, new implementations and complex integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the ServiceNow platform’s technical architecture, strategy and long-term roadmap.

  • Lead the design of major platform upgrades, new module deployments and complex integrations across the ServiceNow ecosystem.

  • Develop and enforce engineering standards, security controls, architectural guidelines and governance practices aligned with federal requirements.

  • Convert business and mission-critical requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable ServiceNow solutions.

  • Assess emerging ServiceNow products and capabilities, recommending appropriate technologies and features for adoption.

  • Provide technical direction, mentorship and architectural guidance to senior and mid-level ServiceNow developers.

  • Partner with federal customers, stakeholders, program managers and delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

  • Review technical designs and high-risk platform changes to maintain quality across implementations and upgrades.

  • Ensure all solutions satisfy federal requirements relating to security, compliance, auditability, reliability and performance.

  • Promote continuous platform improvement by addressing technical debt and advancing the overall ServiceNow environment.

Skillset

  • Active Top Secret security clearance is essential.

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

  • CompTIA Security+ and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications are highly desirable.

  • Additional ServiceNow credentials, such as Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or relevant Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications, would be a plus.

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across large, complex enterprise environments.

  • Demonstrated success leading technical strategy for major platform upgrades and multi-module implementations.

  • Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, security, integrations, development standards and platform best practices.

  • Proven ability to design scalable ServiceNow architectures and effective enterprise governance frameworks.

  • Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense customers, with knowledge of relevant security, compliance, and audit frameworks is a bonus.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and technical leadership skills.
