Our client, a major transportation organization, is hiring a German-speaking ServiceNow SPM Business Analyst for an urgent contract opportunity in Austria. The successful candidate will partner with business and technology teams to enhance portfolio management and planning, maximize the benefits of ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and encourage its adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to capture and assess requirements across demand, project and portfolio management, investment planning and strategic planning.

  • Turn business requirements into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria and functional documentation.

  • Recommend standard ServiceNow SPM capabilities that meet business needs while limiting unnecessary customization.

  • Lead workshops to clarify requirements, refine processes and demonstrate how SPM can support business objectives.

  • Encourage platform adoption by explaining its value and securing stakeholder support.

  • Constructively challenge requests and guide stakeholders towards effective solutions using existing functionality.

  • Partner with product owners, architects and technical teams to agree practical solutions and clarify delivery requirements.

  • Help prioritize the backlog and identify improvements to SPM workflows and supporting business processes.

Skillset

  • Fluent German is essential.

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst, with a strong focus on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).

  • In-depth knowledge of standard ServiceNow SPM capabilities and how to apply them with minimal customization.

  • Experience across Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management, Investment Planning, Portfolio Planning and Strategic Planning.

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into practical solutions, clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience leading workshops and communicating requirements.

  • Confidence influencing business and technical teams, demonstrating SPM’s value and encouraging adoption.

  • A track record of supporting ServiceNow implementations or transformation programs.

  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications, particularly in SPM, would be a bonus.
