Our client, an AI-led company transforming the healthcare sector, is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their team remotely in the U.S. The successful candidate will architect and develop critical backend systems that manage, process and analyze clinical data at scale, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build impactful, innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Architect, build and deploy backend services and functionalities that drive the company’s clinical AI platform.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather user insights and continuously refine innovative features.
Uphold patient privacy and security by applying secure coding standards and best practices.
Investigate and promote enhancements in system architecture, workflows, and engineering methodologies.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the organization’s production applications.

Skillset

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
At least 5 years of experience in software development, primarily focused on backend and cloud-native solutions.
Deep proficiency in Python programming.
Hands-on experience with Postgres or comparable relational databases.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Strong collaboration skills, working closely with product managers to plan, build and refine features.
Experience working in environments with strict security and privacy requirements.
Previous experience at a high-growth or scale-up technology company.
Familiarity with health tech, especially hospital billing systems, is a plus.
