ServiceNow Developer – Portal

Our client, a leading IT Services and Consulting firm, are hiring a ServiceNow Portal Developer to join the team in Maryland on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be part of a high-impact project focused on building advanced portal solutions using UI Builder, custom widgets and real-time integrations, all in support of mission-critical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom ServiceNow widgets using both client-side and server-side JavaScript.

• Create and refine pages and workspaces in UI Builder, applying advanced component and data resource techniques.

• Utilise web components within UI Builder to develop responsive, reusable UI elements.

• Configure and support catalog items, record producers, Glide APIs, business rules and scripts to optimise service functionality.

• Play a key role in shaping portal architecture, prioritising user experience, performance and scalability.

Skillset

• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI holders highly desirable.

• Proven expertise in JavaScript development on both the client and server sides within the ServiceNow platform.

• Extensive hands-on experience with custom widgets, widget controllers and the ServiceNow widget editor.

• Strong grasp of UI Builder functionality and the use of web components for dynamic interface design.

• Well-versed in configuring catalog items and working within the broader ServiceNow scripting environment.
