Our client, a cutting-edge AI-driven FinTech company, is hiring a Backend Engineer to join their team in Manhattan, New York. The successful candidate will design, build and iterate on exciting products end-to-end, working across React/Next on the frontend and Node/Typescript on the backend, taking features from initial concept all the way to production.

Responsibilities

Rapidly translate customer pain points into fully realized, high-impact features.
Ship and iterate on frontend, backend and infrastructure components, prototyping quickly and hardening for production.
Enhance developer experience, code quality and system observability.
Shape product direction and contribute to the roadmap using data and user feedback.
Make informed architectural and coding decisions, balancing speed, scalability and reliability.

Skillset

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
Minimum of two years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend systems.
Proficient in Typescript across the stack.
Experience building seamless experiences with React/Next on the frontend and Node on the backend.
Ability to deliver real value by crafting intuitive UX and designing APIs that simplify the user experience.
Experience with LLM integrations and deploying applications in the cloud.
