Our client, an IT Services company who specializes in federal government, is hiring a ServiceNow Architect to join their team in Virginia. The successful candidate will lead the design, development and optimization of their enterprise ServiceNow ecosystem, delivering scalable, future-ready solutions that enhance workflows and elevate service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, deployment and optimization of the ServiceNow platform across key modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD and SecOps.
  • Convert organizational objectives into scalable, high-value ServiceNow solutions that enhance processes and drive productivity.
  • Design secure, efficient integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using established protocols and integration tools.
  • Provide technical direction to development teams on configuration, customization and automation, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance standards.
  • Maintain platform excellence through effective data management, workflow optimization and performance tuning.
  • Manage technical reviews, testing cycles, deployment activities and ongoing enhancements to the platform.
  • Mentor developers and analysts in architecture principles, scripting and DevOps methodologies to strengthen team capability.
  • Partner with federal stakeholders to ensure solutions align with modernization goals, compliance mandates and security frameworks.

Skillset

  • Active Secret Clearance is required; Top Secret eligibility is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience architecting and implementing enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) or higher preferred.
  • Extensive expertise across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD and Security Operations modules.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and other third-party technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and automation tools.
  • Proven experience in custom application development, platform upgrades and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with ITOM, Service Catalog and reporting functionalities.
  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and DevOps toolchains such as Jira, Jenkins and GitHub.
