Our client, an IT Services company who specialize in the federal sector, are hiring a talented ServiceNow Developer to join their team in Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and enhancing ServiceNow solutions that enable mission-critical operations for the government and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a technical team to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.
  • Support internal and external customers by operating across multiple ServiceNow instances and domains.
  • Leverage Agile/Scrum practices to plan, manage and execute development tasks.
  • Provide guidance to functional and administrative teams on design, development and ServiceNow best-practice approaches.
  • Partner with business, systems and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse and refine business and technical requirements.
  • Design and develop enhancements and solutions across existing ServiceNow applications.
  • Create and maintain platform components, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs and Workflow Activities.
  • Lead and support the deployment of new applications and feature enhancements within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and analyse system performance issues, recommending improvements where necessary.

Skillset

  • Solid understanding and practical experience with the broader ServiceNow suite, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Reporting, Incident Management, Knowledge Base and related modules.
  • Strong communication and active-listening abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated development experience beyond the ServiceNow platform, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management and ITIL/ITSM practices.
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Solid understanding of the system and software engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, support and enterprise monitoring.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis or modelling to support strategic decision-making.

Benefits

  • Salary: $190k – $200k
