Our client, an AI-driven Healthcare startup, are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join their team In New York. The successful candidate will take ownership of core backend systems and collaborate closely with founders who have deep expertise in healthcare operations and large-scale AI systems.

Responsibilities

Design and manage services, data models, and business logic that power AI-driven healthcare workflows.
Implement multi-step, asynchronous AI workflows with retries, conditional logic and fault-tolerant handling.
Manage high-stakes connections with EHRs and legacy healthcare platforms via APIs and robotic process automation (RPA).
Develop frameworks that enable rapid deployment and customization of AI assistants for diverse healthcare environments.
Implement and uphold backend authentication, authorization and HIPAA-compliant architecture for enterprise healthcare systems.

Skillset

At least 5 years designing, developing and scaling backend systems in high-availability production environments.
Deep knowledge of APIs, relational databases, asynchronous workflows and distributed systems.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking full responsibility for system outcomes and solving problems end-to-end.
Excellent communicator who clearly conveys technical ideas and raises potential risks proactively.
Experience with HIPAA, security or other regulated environments is a plus.
