Our client, an exciting healthcare startup, are hiring a Backend Engineer to join their team remotely. The successful candidate will drive the scaling of the company’s healthcare APIs and enhancing existing systems by building high-performance, serverless applications that process millions of transactions across the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

Architect and build sophisticated, large-scale web applications and APIs.
Collaborate with AWS services to maximise performance, reliability and scalability.
Lead engineering excellence through clean, efficient code and transparent communication.
Develop a high-impact commercial trading network that delivers exceptional value to customers.

Skillset

At least 4 years of professional coding experience, in particular Rust and TypeScript.
Minimum of 4 years working with AWS services in production, including serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless.
Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably using CDK (TypeScript).
Strong ability to prioritise work and context switch efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with development and operational tools such as GitHub, Stripe and PagerDuty.
