Our client, a growing Health tech organization, is hiring a Software Development Manager to join their team remotely. The successful candidate will lead a high-caliber engineering group, play a key role in evolving a mission-critical component of healthcare infrastructure and help deliver the technology underpinning modern healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing engineering team, setting ambitious goals and maintaining a strong focus on quality.
  • Oversee daily engineering workflows to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet high standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Customer Operations to align engineering outputs with customer needs and address critical issues.
  • Establish clear expectations and drive accountability through regular performance evaluations and progress monitoring.
  • Enhance team processes by facilitating design reviews, post-mortems and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain operational readiness, including coordinating incident responses, ensuring compliance, managing runbooks and upholding security practices.
  • Mentor and guide engineers while working cross-functionally to uphold technical excellence.

Skillset

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • At least 2 years of practical, hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated success leading and managing remote-first engineering teams.
  • Strong commitment to building, mentoring and sustaining high-performing teams.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Benefits

  • Salary: Circa. $200k
