Our client, an innovator in the healthcare industry, is hiring an AI Engineer (Applied Scientist) III to join their team in Utah. The successful candidate will combine data science, experimentation and production engineering to design, build and optimize AI-driven workflows, helping to enhance platform performance and improve the patient experience.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance features for the organization’s AI voice agent, using production-level coding alongside prompt and context engineering.
Design and execute structured experiments, breaking larger objectives into clear, testable hypotheses.
Deliver features iteratively, analyze real user interactions and continuously optimize the agent’s performance and behavior.
Analyze both structured and unstructured data, including call transcripts and patient account information.
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, designers and product managers to deliver effective solutions.
Utilize AI-enabled coding tools to accelerate development and experimentation.
Contribute to a fast-paced team focused on improving patient financial experience.

Skillset

At least 3 years of experience working in a structured product development environment with frequent product releases.
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Strong understanding of scientific experimentation methods alongside solid software engineering practices.
Proficiency in modern programming languages, with Python and TypeScript preferred.
Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to support development workflows.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and interpret complex datasets.
